Delaware

In grade school, we were assigned a classic project - a research report on a US state. States were assigned by pulling numbers from a hat. I was psyched to get number 1, thinking that meant I would get the first pick. No such luck. The numbers equated to the order in which the states became part of the union. This meant that I was stuck with Delaware. While others made dioramas of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Statue of Liberty or the Grand Canyon, mine was a recreation of the Delaware Water Gap. Yawwwwwwn.

I've driven through Delaware a few times, including one cruise through the state on my spring break trip to Florida in 2001. We didn't stop. Nothing to see.

And that's my story about Delaware.

They can't all be adventures.
